Paragliding is the recreational adventure sport of flying, the closest thing for man to experience flying without engine. It’s a lightweight, free-flying, glider aircraft with no rigid structure. The glider is strapped below a fabric wing resembling a wide parachute. The gliding is done by allowing the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing and the aerodynamic forces of the air flowing over the outside to exploit the sources of lifting into the air.

Wanli Paragliding Base is located at the Beiji Community (North Base Community) in Wanli, New Taipei City. The upward airflow made it a great training base for beginners to practice or one time experience. It is the most well-known paragliding hot spot in Northern Taiwan. Awesome view with nothing to block your sight is guaranteed about NT$ 2000, along with adrenalized flying experience provided under close supervision of licensed coaches.

After the extreme sports activity, surrounding attractions are recommended like the famous Yehliu Geopark, Green Bay, Cukeng, and Huangchushan Reserves. Excellent attractions to explore the sceneries Nothern Taiwan has to offer, on the ground.
