Taipei Botanical Garden is located on Nan hai Rd., southwestern of Taipei city, making the site accessible with ease. Established in 1921, the over 10 hectares garden is home to over 1,500 species of living collection, containing a variety of exhibits and provides visitors a convenient structural learning environment. After the garden was deserted during the World War II, the garden underwent reconstruction and new plants were introduced.

Since then, the Taipei Botanical Garden was maintained by the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute and contains a variety of exhibits such as a stunning lotus pond, Chinese zodiac plants, Succulent plants garden, Fern garden, Odes plants garden and so on, providing a convenient structural learning environment for visitors. There are several wooden and metallic walk paths in the Botanical Garden to protect vegetation from visitors and provide various themes. With its primary objectives of providing education, research opportunities and conservation, Taipei Botanical Garden brings great joy to the public, offering heritage and horticulture together.

Taipei Botanical Gardens are divided into 17 districts with 9 ponds designed to grow different types of plants. Each unique plant is marked with its formal scientific name, place of origin, applications and its unique features. As rare as having a beautiful green land within an urban city like Taipei, the garden has become a popular leisure space for Taipei citizens.

Taipei Botanical Garden offers exhibition space on land and water fields, through education system, visitors are presented with a first-hand collective knowledge of a variety of subtropical plant life as a unique opportunity to the public.
