Taipei City ─ Taipei Expo Park-Xinsheng Park Area
Situated on Xinsheng North Road, Xinsheng Park was completed in 1978, which covers an area of 20 hectares and is the second largest park in Taipei City. The park is nearby Songshan International Airport offers tourists who love to watch aircrafts take off; here is the site where comfort, colour, and taste are delivered to the ultimate level.
Xinsheng Park, which was one of the four exhibit areas of the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo, it was home to 3 themed floral displaying sites (Floral Tunnel, Fujian Garden and Palace of Floral Tea) and 4 pavilions (Pavilion of Regimen, Pavilion of Dreams, Pavilion of Angel Life and the Pavilion of Future). The area covers the neighboring Lin Antai Historical Home, as well as the Flora Tunnel (Bamboo Veranda) made of floral blossoms. In addition to gardening highlights in the “Dream” and “Tea” sections that make references to the Xinsheng Park and Lin An-tai Historical Home. Other most-visited in the area are the Palace of Flora Teas, which is a traditional Chinese quadrangle with four-walled courtyard. The Pavilion of Angel Life emphasizes the importance of an arts-infused lifestyle; the Pavilion of Future illustrates the harmonious ties between mankind and the ecological environment they share with plant life. The Pavilions of Dreams, Angel Life and Future have received candidacy for the diamond degree of the Taiwanese EEWH Green Building. After the closing of the Flora Expo, this park has renovated and reopened along with a part of the lawn and outdoor space. A three-pavilion pass is now available at a charge for visitors to enjoy the Pavilion of Dream, the most popular facility during the Flora Expo period, as well as the Pavilion of Future and the Taipei Pavilion for just TWD150.
