The Dawulun Fort is situated at the peak of Dawulun Mountain, east of Lover’s Lake. It is an important military base to defense the invader from west side of Keelung Harbor. Built during the Qing dynasty in 1820, the Dawulun Fort had gone through Opium War in 1840 and the Sino-French War in 1884. Decades have passed, the current site may renovate during the colonial period. Now this place is designated to be class 2 national historical monuments. Inside the fort, you can see the remaining of huge water tank, bunkers, barracks, underpass, etc.

National Highway 3, exit at Jijin 1st Road towards Jinshan. Turn right when you see Lane 208 to get to the Park. You can also take City Bus 505 and get off at Lovers Lake Park. Walk along Jijin 1st Road for about 30 minutes to the Park. Or, take Keelung Bus (Jishan/Wanli) and get off at Lovers Lake Park. Walk for about 25 minutes to the Park.
When you arrive at Lovers Lake Park, walk for a little while to Dawulun Fort.
