Hutoushan Park is well organized. With hiking routes connecting playgrounds, barbeque sites, temples, and all the scenic spots. Spots like the Sansheng Temple, dedicated to the three historical heroes from the dynasty of the three kingdoms. In the memory of Liu Bei, Guang Yu, and Chang Fei, where they made blood pact in Taoyuan. All the huts and pavilion along the hiking routes were designed in the Chinese architectural style some located on the hillside with great view of the city. The Martyrs’ Shrine was built during the Japanese colonial period. The delicate wooden structure was carefully designed in old fashion like the Tang Dynasty. The Owl Forest School and Owl hiking routes was a new touch by the Taoyuan Government in 2012. Designing sky walks connecting different tree houses and playgrounds while carefully built to relate to the natural environment. It’s now the most popular site among kids. When the night falls, mobile cafés gathers around on the top of the mountain. With perfect night view and a sip of your drink, it doesn’t get any better.
