The Namchow Group founded 50 years ago, started out by making crystal soap, cooking oil and now into the food industry as well. The brown-crystal like soap was widely used for cleaning almost anything back in early days in Taiwan. The chairman began focusing on his favorite field, food, when more and more cleaning products coming out targeting each individual purpose. Not for long, Namchow went into the food industry releasing products such as instant noodles, ice creams and exotic restaurants in different style of cuisines.

The factory is organized into a recreational attraction including an exhibition hall, memorial garden, ecological pond, and all sorts of experience classes. Namchow Recreational Factory holds tutorial classes on most of their products for visitors to make your own. It is probably the only factory that offers the most variety of DIY classes in Taiwan like making soap, ice cream, pizza and even xiaolongbao (steamed dumpling). The activities will occupy the whole afternoon and you can always end it with any of the four restaurants in the factory, Chinese, Western, Japanese noodle or Thai.

The chairperson of Namchow is a gourmet passionate person. He dedicated in building a food empire that provides only delicious cuisines. The most well known restaurant is the Dian Shui Lou, famous for its Chinese cuisine. With other new style restaurant coming out soon like the Thai curry and the Italian pizzas, Namchow is going on a transition. So come witness the change and order delicious dishes when you do.
