Republic of Chocolate is located in Bade, Taoyuan. Hunya Food Co. devoted in making chocolates, bringing joys and sweets to everyone. The most well-known product is 77 Nougat Chocolate, where you can find it in any shop in Taiwan. Serving chocolates to Taiwan for over 36 years, Hunya Food Co. combined profession with education. In doing so, the first chocolate museum in Asia, Republic of Chocolate was founded in 2012.

Walking into Republic of Chocolate, is just like walking into a chocolate. A chocolate cut in half with chocolate fillings melting from the middle is literally how the outside of the museum should be described. The concept of applying simple line forming the image of a chocolate is a treat for your eye before you enter. They provide guide tours introducing the history and the making of chocolate around the museum. There is an actual green house with cacao tree, an exhibition hall presenting the facts of chocolate and chocolate making class for you to make your own chocolate.

Republic of Chocolate provides information for your brain and food for your stomach as well. Aside from chocolate tasting, the restaurant in the museum offers chocolate fusion cuisines. It is a menu you will not find anywhere else but from a chocolate factory. It will be hard not smiling after walking out of this giant chocolate.
