Located in Shigang District, Taichung City, Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way was reconstructed from the previous Dongshi Branch of Taiwan South-North Railway and officially opened in November, 2000. With a total length of 12 kilometers, Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way not only provides night lightning facilities with the entire section making it Taiwan's first night-time bicycle lane, but also preserves old railway stations along the path to add up more fun when cycling at the trail. The bike trail is connected to Hofung Bicycle Green Way, where visitors can ride through Dongfeng Iron Bridge to Shigang. With the magnificent views along the route, Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way is certainly a place worth a visit when traveling to Taichung.

The Green Way is planned to extend beyond the Daja River Bridge up to the Taian Railway Cultural Park in Houli and connect to the Houli Horse Ranch, the Yuemei Sugar Factory and Lihpao Land.
