YuFeng Brick Kilns is established in 1973 located at Hualien County. During the first half of the 20th century there was a big demand for bricks as elements for any construction works because the traditional Taiwanese countryside houses were mostly built by the bricks, which include windows, drainpipes, wall, etc. Later in ‘60s, the concrete revolution hit the bricks industry hard, many brick kiln factories closed down. YuFeng Brick Kilns became remain one around Hualien, Taitung area.

YuFeng Brick Kiln now transformed this brick kilns factory to the tourism factory. This new tourism factory featured in tour guide for factory production line and hand on DIY session for clay sculpture, panting, magnet, etc. YuFeng’s future goal is to work with local college students or aboriginal organizations for any distinct design by recreate the product by using the clay as base elements. In addition, to work with nearby scenic areas or local tourism factories to attract the tourist crowds for Hualien & Taitung travel.
