“Insistence on consistent”, Black Bridge Food Co. founded abiding this idea. Back in the 1950s, when Taiwan was still insufficient on food supplies, preserving the expensive products such as meat was an important task. Most of the preserved meat at the time was too salty and dried was not favored by the locals. Black Bridge started to preserve fresh ingredients into making sausages and tried to change the spices to suit the tastes of the locals. After experimenting and trying, out came the Taiwan sausage that we recognize today. The juicy and smooth sausage was a huge hit on the market up until now.

Black Bridge Sausage Museum was established to remember the hard times and the history of this Taiwan born sausage. Exhibition halls were organized to introduce the meat environment and history in Taiwan. Fun facts were provided to explain the difference between Taiwan sausages and other sausages in the world. The guided tours for you to examine the actual making of sausages are very educational and fun. The first floor was organized into markets. Any preserved meat related products are sold here with hot food stand preparing them on the spot. On the second floor is where you can examine the whole making of a sausage along with sausage related information around the world. The third floor is designed and decorated like the city of Tainan back in 1950, exhibiting artifacts for both educational and historical purposes.

Black Bridge Sausage Museum offers two separate kinds of visiting routes. The Exhibition Halls are to be visit anytime but the Factory Tours requires supervision and reservation in advance. The Black Bridge Sausage plays an important role in the Taiwan’s food industry. It is a common traditional dish in Taiwan. Always nice to know your food with hot food under your selection and fun tours, Black Bridge Museum is a great place to hang out with your family.
