Shanghai Happy Valley

Opened in July, 2009, Shanghai Happy Valley is the largest amusement park in China with an area about 210 acres in Sheshan of Shanghai City. The park is centrally located within Shanghai Sheshan National Holiday Resort, about 40km away from downtown Shanghai.

Shanghai Happy Valley is composed of seven areas in different themes, including Sunshine Beach, Happy Times, Typhoon Bay, Gold Mine Town, Ant Kingdom, Shanghai Bund, and Shangri-la. More than 100 attractions and 12 special recreation rides are available at the Shanghai Happy Valley.
  • Sunshine Beach is where visitors may enjoy shows and performances at the Arthur’s Palace, and an immersive sense of flying while watching 4D films at the Flying Cinema.
  • The Happy Times features the Wooden Coaster-Fireball which is the first wooden roller coaster in China.
  • The Typhoon Bay has exciting water features such as hurtling from 26 meters into the water!
  • The Gold Mine Town tells the story of American West during the gold rush period with trains and bars providing visitors like real sceneries.
  • Treasure Island is the highest point of Happy Valley providing beautiful sceneries overlooking Sheshan Mountain and Moon Lake.
  • Ants Kingdom has all sorts of amusements for ones who are looking for soft rides.
  • Shanghai Bund offers thrilling rides such as the backboneless drop-coaster which drops-off from 60m-high, and Gyro Swing for spectacular overviews of the park when raised up to 15 stories high.
Visitors are also recommended to enjoy a relaxing moment drifting along the river for the beautiful canyon, rockeries, forests, etc. Aside from the fun rides, visitors are also suggested to visit the Overseas China Town Theatre for various performances: circus, musical, and acrobatics for a vivid Shanghai travel!
