Maokong Gondola is the first gondola lift transportation system in Taipei City, which runs between Taipei City Zoo and Maokong. The four stations are Taipei City Zoo Station, Taipei City Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and Maokong Station. With a total length of 4.03 kilometers, the gondola has the longest route among Taiwan’s gondola lift transportation systems. The ticket fare is TWD 30-50 per person, which is relatively cheap compare to other ropeways or gondolas.
Visitors may find many amusing facilities at the Maokong Gondola Station, including an information center, a water show area, a musical clock, and a Camphor Tree Trail for your Taipei travel.
Aside from taking a gondola ride, visitors are invited to visit Maokong area for the natural sceneries, enjoy mountain delicacies and high-mountain tea, experience an eco tour as well as see the adorable pandas at the Taipei City Zoo.
