Kaohsiung City ─ Lotus Pond
Lotus Pond-
Lotus Pond is located on the east side of Zouying district, Kaohsiung City. The lotus flowers bloom every summer has given it the name “Lotus Pond.” The pond is surrounded by willow trees, area of 75 hectares, also an area of temples like Confucius Temple, Spring Autumn Pavilion and Dragon and Tiger Tower. The foggy view in the morning and late evening makes the pond with the mystery feeling, especially in summer time, with the willow trees on the pond side and floating duckweed are attractive to all visitors.

In addition to wandering or biking around the pond, tourists may join the duck tour which takes you from the shore sceneries of Kaohsiung city to Lotus Pond. Tourists may appreciate the wonderful sceneries, shorebirds and snap fish while the historic introduction is given by commentators on the boat.

You are able to arrive Lotus Pond by bus Zouyi line, from Kaohsiung train station to Zouying stop.

No. 1 National Highway (國道一號) -> Kaohsiung Interchange (高雄交流道) -> Jiuru 1st Road (九如一路) -> Minzu 1st Road (民族一路) -> Tianxiang 2nd Road (天祥二路) -> Xinzhuangjai Road (新莊仔路) -> Lotus Pond (蓮池潭)

No. 2 National Highway (國道二號) -> Kaohsiung Interchange (高雄交流道) -> bound for Zuoying (左營) -> Dazhong 2nd Road (大中二路) -> Huaxia Road (華夏路) -> Xinzhuangjai Road (新莊仔路) -> Lotus Pond (蓮池潭)

By Bus:
Take bus no. 6, 17, 31, 205, 219, 301 to Zuoying Farmer’s Association stop (左營農會站) from Kaohsiung Train Station (高雄火車站). Lotus Pond (蓮潭池) is reachable with a short walk along Shengli Road (勝利路).

By Kaohsiung KRT (高雄捷運)
Take Kaohsiung KRT –Red Line (高雄捷運紅線) to R16 KRT Zuoying Station (捷運左營站).
