Longluantan is situated on the way from Hengchun Township to Eluanbi, area of 137 hectare. Longluantan is the key water conservancy of Hengchun peninsula, the biggest fresh water lake in Taiwan. The indoor observation room of Longluantan Natural Center is supplied with scopes and auto-playing monitoring systems, providing 4 sections of natural breed bird display, this is an important roost for migratory and resident birds. The center also represents sample and models for visitors to know about the ecology of Longluantan and the mutual relationship between birds and the environment. The program of this area is emphasized on facilities of bird-watching, further on improving and maintaining the ecology.
