Yangmei Guishan Park is conveniently located right beside the provincial road. It’s a local landmark. The park use to be a hill which shapes like a turtle, thus the name turtle mountain was named by the local. Until 30 years ago, Yangmei Junior High School was built and changed the name then. Guishan Park was the first park in Yangmei. The hiking trail was designed to correspond with the unique hill landscape. It’s now where the local stroll or go for exercise.

Yangmei Guishan Park is a casual, non challenging hiking trail, which was designed with the possibility to go around in loops like a running track. It is near Laokeng Stream with altitude going up 218 meters. The entrance in located at the lowest part of the park, where the trails gradually rises with tablets and statures along the sides with symbolic meanings. The trail is surrounded by greens and trees, especially cool during the summer. On the top of the trails, in the center of the park, a large guanyin statue standing on a dragon turtle statue is displayed. When you reached the top where the statue is, it is also a great opportunity to view down on Yangmei where you can also see other attractions like Puxing, Kaoshanding, Chepoche, Shocaowo and Laorenkeng.
