Dasyueshan means “Big Snow Mountain”. This is a national forest recreation area which located in Taichung County, the center of Taiwan. Mountain and all recreational areas are located at an altitude of 2,000 meter where covering the low temperate bushes, virgin forests, giant old trees,etc. The area extends across the south western of ridges of the “big snow mountain” include Shiolai Mountain, Chuanshin ( boat shape) Mountain, Anma Mountain, Shioshia (little snow) Mountain, Chungshia (medium snow), Tashia Mountain and others on the mountain range.During the hottest period in summer, the temperature is only around 18 degree Celsius whereas during the coldest months, it is -5 degree.

This mountain resort is a getaway for people who are looking for a challenge hike, mountain biking,bird watching, and vacationers enjoying the snowy surrounding.
The attractions inside the area include the Snow Mountain Sacred Wood, Shioshay Lake, virgin forests etc. In addition, the expanded Anma Mountain Jungle Pool walkways, the Shiolai Mountain, Shioshay Mountain, Chungshay Mountain and Tashay Mountain climbing trails are fantastic outdoor thrills for embracing the nature. The flora and fauna tour area, Chuanshin Mountain’s nursery, Kao Mountain botanical garden and the Youth Outdoor Activity Area, camping grounds are most visited spots in the long list of what this area offers.
