The Beitou Fuxing Park is located near Xinbeitou MRT Station. Built in 1978, over 26 thousand square meters, the park is rich in nature with pavilions and playground for kids. It’s where the locals often hang out. On December 2014, the officials organized a footbath area within the park, open free to everyone.

Beitou has had the reputation of offering the finest hot spring. The authority took the liberty of adding a little treat for the locals and visitors in designing warm public facilities. Starting from the year 2011, footbath area is organized in both Chuanyuan Park and Sulfur Valley. And on December 2014, Beitou Fuxing Park now features its own footbath area. Spacious design for 100 guests, the footbath area offers three different pools. It is an open corridor built in wood with a little old fashion design, which correspond with the surroundings. A stroll in the park after the warm footbath is a relaxing experience.

The hot spring of the footbath comes from Geothermal Valley. It’s acid sulfur spring from 50 to 70 degrees Celsius around pH 1.2 to 1.6. The spring water is clear, slightly green thus the name green sulfur spring, a rare and the finest hot spring around the world, which is the reason Beitou is so popular among foreign travelers while visiting Taiwan. To enjoy the unique hot spring only 2 sites in the world could offer.
