Wanshi Botanical Garden

Wanshi in Chinese means "Ten Thousand Stones", the rich botanical resource made the government rename it as Xiamen Botanical Garden. This large scenic area covers over 4,000 species of plants from south China and Southeast Asia. The most spectacular part of this botanical garden is that those plants of bamboo, eucalyptus. Furthermore, a now well grown redwood tree was planted by the former US President Richard Nixon. Another must-see spot in the garden is a bullet scared rock where the legendary pirate of China "koxinga" killed his cousin. Seems it is not just a botanical garden like anywhere else, it is the place where a legendary story happened in.
