Tainan Yue Jin Lantern Festival began in 2010, presenting lantern shows extinguished in local culture and creativity. It has became a large scale annual event ever since. This year from Jan 30th, a month of celebration will light up starting from the opening ceremony at Shuiyue Bridge.
Yue Jin Lantern Festival
The Tainan Yue Jin Lantern Festival attracted tourists each year from around Taiwan ever since it began in 2010. A large scale lantern exhibition with exquisite local creativity and culture designs has become one of the major events during the Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival. This year, the theme focuses on the cross of modern and traditional. A diversity of lantern design of history, art and culture, it definitely will be another treat for the visitors.
Yue Jin Lantern Festival
Three major features this year signify the festival from the past. Over 60 lanterns displayed at Yuijin Harbor, this is the most main lantern displayed ever. The festival invited artist from around Taiwan and abroad to participate, including Japan, South Korea, Czech and many others.
The festival covers 9.8 hectares. The site is organized into the four main lantern sections around the lake, Ciaonan Old Street, Shuiyue Bridge, and the Bike Bridge. Aside from lantern displays, artwork exhibitions, performances, flowers, and movies are scheduled throughout the event. From Jan 30th to Feb 28th, Tainan invites you to a Chinese New Year Festival during the holidays.

1.High Speed Railway：Take the THSR to Chiayi Station, then take the Yellow 9 Bus to Xinyin Railway Station. Transfer to the festival by Brown 1, 2 ,3 bus.
2.Train：Take train to Xinyin Railway Station. Transfer to the festival by Brown 1, 2 ,3 bus. Get off at Ciaonan Old Street, Yanshui Stop to reach the festival
