A popular tourist destination on the east side of Zuoying of Kaohsiung, Lotus Pond is a man-made lake with lotus flowers bloom every summer. The lake is well-known for the numerous lotus plants on the lake, the surrounding willow trees and the featured temples around the lake, including Confucius Temple, Spring Autumn Pavilion and Dragon and Tiger Tower.
Visitors are recommended to visit the pond in the morning or late evening, with the foggy view and the willow trees on the pond side creating an even mystery scene.
