Meiling Scenic Area

Nowadays, this area was renamed Meiling, meaning "plum peak" in Chinese. Meiling has the largest range of plum trees in Taiwan covering 2000 hectares and produces 3,000,000 kilogram of plums every year. Every January and February, there are a lot of mountains in the Meiling full of plum blossom, which has drawn thousands of tourists to appreciate this striking view of bursting plum blossoms. In addition to this beautiful blooming sceneries, Meiling features several hiking trails, including Mahogany Trail, Acacia Trail, Jingzihu Trail, Granyin Trail, Wulong Temple Trail, Meilong Trail, and Meifeng Trail. So, the tourists can come to appreciate the spectacular plum blossoming during the blooming season or just come to hike and embrace the nature.

By Car
National Highway No.1: Exit from Madou Interchange and proceed along County Highway No. 171. Transfer to Provincial Highway No.1 heading south, passing Dutou Bridge. Turn left to connect to Provincial Highway No.84 and arrive at Yujing. Turn left at Provincial Highway No.3, passing Nanxi Bridge. Turn right by following the signs to arrive at the destination.
National Highway No.3:From the Xinhua end of the Tainan Branch Route, connect to Provincial Highway No.20 to Yujing. Connect and continue on Provincial Highway No.3, drive pass Nanxi Bridge and turn right by following the sign to arrive at the destination.
National Highway No.3: From Expressway No.84 connect to South Second Highway (heading toward the same direction as Tsoumalai Farm). After arriving at Yujing, proceed towards Nanxi Township and follow the signs to arrive at the destination.
By Bus
From the front of Tainan Train Station, take the Hsingnan Bus bound for Yujing and Nanxi Township. Then, transfer to the bus heading to “Xiangjiao Mountain” and dismount at “Meiling Station”.
