Taoyuan Tourist Night Market

Covering areas of Zhongzhen Rd., Beipu Rd., and Zhengkang Rd., of Taoyuan City, Taiwan, Taoyuan Tourist Night Market is one of the many night markets established by the local government.

Set in downtown Taoyuan City center, Taoyuan Tourist Night Market is just about a 15-20 minute walk from the Taoyuan Railway Station. The great location in the city center makes Taoyuan Night Market a lively stop in the evening for more than 250 stores and stalls ranging from fashionable clothing to local delights. Visitors may find food stalls mainly on Beipu Rd., while Zhengkang Rd. and Zhongzhen Rd. are occupied with shops and stores for clothing, accessories, books, shoes and others.

Taoyuan Tourist Night Market is famed for its wide range of exotic delights and traditional snacks from different parts of Taiwan, including popular Wu’s fried spareribs, tofu pudding, Chiayi Shun’s oyster omelet, Champion Chou’s stinky tofu, Taiwanese style takoyaki, and Korean style BBQ to satisfy one’s taste bud.

Before savoring mouth-watering snacks at the night market, there are many Taoyuan attractions reachable in short rides. Xiao Wulai Scenic Area is about 25 kilometers away for fabulous natural sceneries and transparent skywalk overlooking Xiao Wulai Waterfall, Cihu Mausoleum 18 kilometers away for the final resting place of Chiang Kai-Shek, Daxi Old Street 14 kilometers away for traditional bean curd delicacies and snacks that are popular souvenirs for one’s Taiwan travel.

Take train to Taoyuan Train Station (桃園火車站). From there, walk along Zhongzhen Rd. (中正路) to Taoyuan Tourist Night Market (桃園觀光夜市). Taoyuan Tourist Night Market is about a 15-20 minute walk (1.8km) from the train station.
