Hualien-Taitung Coastline Highway starts at north of Hualien City and ends at south of Taitung City. It belongs to the 11th Provincial Route, and is close to the Pacific Ocean. You may see picturesque scenes of the sky and sea meeting at the horizon line all along the way.

There are several pit-stops on the highway, from north down to south respectively are: Hualien Coastal Park, Salt Cottage and Hernan Temple, Nioushan, Jici Swimming Pool, Shihtiping, Fongbin Moon Cave etc.
