Located in Guangfu Town of Hualien County, Taiwan, within the beautiful East Rift Area in between Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 9 and 193, Danongdafu Forest Park covers an area of vast, about 1,250 hectares, boasting mesmerizing sceneries and recreation features. It is also the venue that has been planned for Hualien Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Covering a large area, Danongdafu Forest Park is home to enriched ecology including butterflies such as Pieris rapae, Neptis hylas lulculenta Fruhstorfer and Eurema hecabe, reptiles such as Buergeria japonica, Bufo bankorensis and Sauria, precious bird species including Phasianus colchicus, Bambusicola thoracica and Dicrurus macrocercus, and plants include Pongamia pinnata, Koelreuteria henryi Dummer and Sapindus mukorossii Gaertn. The park also features various recreation facilities such as bicycle trail, pond, walk path and many other family-friendly features. The park is also the event venue of Hualien Hot Air Balloon Festival.
