The 1573 acre, subtropical creek forest is located in Sanxia Township, New Taipei City (Taipei County).
The park area elevates from northwest to southeast of Taiwan and ranges from 300 to 1700 meters above sea level. With the upstream of the Dabau River, the Rueizai Creek provides a moist climate which humidifies the forest area, making it cool and refreshing during the summer days with average temperature of 19.9C all year round. As the result, it has become an ideal place for outdoor recreational activities. Since its hilly landscape, this place is famous for numerous of small waterfalls. During sunny days, colorful rainbows surround the waterfall area as water splashes, creating a spectacular view and a magical environment.

Another well-known sight Manyueyuan Park features is the green maple forest. Every year from October until the following January, maple leaves turn from green to gold, and gradually to orange-red, offering one of the best views in northern Taiwan during autumn and winter. This forest is also home to many types of butterflies since its rich in food and nectar resources, over 100 of different species of butterflies can be spotted here including the Common jay, Common blue bottle, Chinese peacock and Great morrnon.

With its high pure creek and high quality natural environment, Manyueyuan National Park has become a popular recreation destination for local and foreigners. The park offers a wide variety of activities to do, including sightseeing, maple discovering, butterfly watching, mountain hiking, engaging in natural environment and forest bathing. Visitors can also take a glimpse at the Baroque buildings on Sanxia historic street and carvings at the Sanxia temple. After all the strolling around the national park, visitor can take a trip to the nearby township of Wulai for relaxing hot springs.

By Bus:
From Taipei, catch Taipei bus(台北客運) towards Sanxia(三峽), exit Lele Valley station(樂樂谷站) to reach.
