Every year when it comes to springtime, many Taiwan destinations are coated by picturesque cherry blossoms in various colors. Today, visitors may find great number of cherry trees over the island, blossoming around the end of January and end before mid April at most of the time, depending on weather conditions.

Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Jinshan, Pingxi, Sanzih, Danshui Tianyuan Temple, Yangmingshan National Park and Wulai areas are Taipei City and New Taipei City’s most popular cherry blossom viewing destinations. Among all these cherry blossom scenic sites, Danshui Tianyuan Temple is probably one of the most noted one in recent years for its blooming cherry blossoms around the temple during March, forming picturesque views that attract large numbers of visitors to Danshui.
