The setting of the story is about Argentina in the 19th century, where hundreds and thousands of Europeans from across Europe immigrating to the city. Along with over populated crowds, housings and bars around town, Tango was created in such lonely and uncivilized environment.
“Forever Tango” was awarded the “Best Touring Broadway Show” by theatre critics association in San Francisco back in 1996 while touring America, leaving footprints across England, Canada and Italy as well. And in June, 1997, the show was officially opened in Broadway theatres.
Tango is a combination of music, dance, culture and lifestyle, it has the power to mix tenderness and brutality together which may penetrate into your soul with passionate stories tell along with tears and joy within 3 minutes.
Shanghai City Theatre locates in Shanghai Minhang District in the South Square subway station on Xinzhuang Town Rd. The complex has an area of 7,012 Square meters that contains 1,122 seats divided into 2 storeys. The stage offers fully equipped facilities with audio and visual hardware.
