Place: Pavilion of New Fashion, Yuanshan Park, Taipei Int’l Flora Expo
Time: 16th December 2010 – 15th February 2011
Taipei International Flora Expo’s Pavilion of New Fashion in Yuanshan Park will be hosting “Flora New Fashion Show” during 16th December 2010 till 15th February 2011. Featuring up to 8 different themes, the fashion show will be showcasing popular fashion trends from top international and local designers as well as new raising stars in the fashion design industry. With different designers from Arts / Wedding industry, coupled with classic arts and fashion brands, “Flora New Fashion Show” creates a unique fashion feast by combination of cultural and creative designs of fashion.
During the Christmas period (16th – 26th December), first phase of the fashion show will consist of 26 shows per day, each with 12 elegant outfits from a well-known local designer Kang Yanling, who’s famous for the use of environmental friendly materials in designs. This time around, he will be mixing his original design style with “Recycle” into his work so don’t be shocked to see models wearing paper plate hats or bottle cap earrings during the fashion show in Pavilion of New Fashion in Taipei Flora Expo’s Yuanshan Park.
Apart from dynamic fashion event, there will also be an exhibition featuring Barbie / Merlin dolls dressed in traditional Taiwanese, Hakka and Aborigines style of outfits. Each doll’s outfit is carefully designed by 5 famous local designers, each focusing on the theme of “Butterflies”, “Flower fairies”, “Birds”, “Classic Taiwan Fashion” and “Mixed and adopted”. These tailor-made dresses will be representing the evolution of Taiwan’s fashion and difference fashion trends between cultures in Taiwan.
