Event: 2011 Yilan Green Expo
Time: 26th March – 15th May 2011
Place: Wulaokeng Scenic Area, Yilan, Taiwan.
2011 Yilan Green Expo is going to be the first green event in the coming spring season organized by local officials. With the main theme of “Return to Nature”, this year’s Yilan Green Expo will be featuring the life cycle of grains and paddy rice and the craftsmanship of rice and the history rice.
Within the expo period of 51 days, various activities and events are set for visitors including Agriculture market – providing farming products and souvenirs from local farmers, Carbon-bearing plant – an exhibition on the latest CO2 reducing methods and concept from locals in Yilan, Green tunnel – displaying the life cycle of plants and vegetables including pumpkin, tomatoes and vanilla, Cute animals area – showing more than 15 different animals to promote the concept of animal protection, Fish creek park – displaying the life cycle of fishes and mating process and the Sky corridor – providing training and confidence building high above the ground for kids.
Entrance fee will be TWD 150/pax during weekdays and TWD 200/pax during weekends. Kids aged from 7 to 12 (or 115cm to 150cm in height) will be TWD 120/pax during weekdays and TWD 160/pax during weekends. From 26th February, visitors may purchase their tickets at Family Mart convenient store all across Taiwan, where visitors will also receive a special of 2nd ticket at half price.
