Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has well established itself as an important engine of economic growth for Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region, as well as an important tourist attraction in Hong Kong. Apart from an outstanding airport, HKIA also features the core of service, facilities and experience it offers to passengers. With this, HKIA's two terminals - Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are equipped with a variety of boutiques, restaurants, entertainment areas and telecommunication facilities to provide passengers, airport visitors with a delightful and unique airport experience. Particularly, SkyMart in T1 and SkyPlaza in T2 give shoppers and diners a comfortable and funny time of the airport experience. Looking to the future, HKIA is transforming itself from a city's airport into an airport city. In addition to T2, which have special projects as SkyCity Nine Eagles Golf Course and a second airport hotel, Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel. The golf course has already grand opened in 2007 and the other project is going to open in late 2008. HKIA has been voted as the world's best airport for the six times in seven years in the annual Skytrax survey. Staying in the airport watching aircrafts taking off and landing on the track could even be a nice experience for passengers.
