Sanshui Village is a Hakka rural village located at the very west of Longtan District in Taoyuan. The main agriculture product is tea in this area. Hillside sceneries of tea, hiking trails hidden off road and delicious local restaurants made Sanshui Village a very interesting cultural stop.
The terrace fields reserved the traditional form of Hakka tea industry. The locals inherited the traditional Hakka spirit and ways of lives, including religion, agricultural methods and food. From the temples, to the old mansion and terrace fields, this Hakka Village preserved the unique and interesting authentic Hakkas.

Sanshui means “three water” in Chinese. The name was given by the unity of three local streams Caoli, Dabeikeng and Nankeng. The area is located in the mountain range, where the climate and altitude suitable to grow tea. It is probably the heaviest tea industry in Longtan. From the year 1991, the authorities began developing tourism in this area. Organizing tourist factories, tourist farms, themed restaurants, and old mansion, it was later designated as one of the ten classic villages in Taiwan. There many local themed restaurants offering Hakka style cuisines and hiking trails along the terrace fields, which made sanshui village an ideal one day trip over the weekend.
