Hsinchu County ─ Fongshan River Fangliao Jhuang Bike Path

Located in Hsinchu County, Fongshan River Fangliao Jhuang bike trail is 8.2km long. There are 3 greenery tunnels along the way and the road side is planted chinaberry trees, camphor trees, and soap-nut trees. There are several historical site nearby this bike trail such as “The Class III Monument Yimin Temple”-the temple was built during the Qing Dynasty, and in each year during the Chungyuan festival, here will gather around 15 Villages to host the grand event. It is quite spectacular for people to participate the event. Another Class III Monument is Shuangtang House. Shuangtang House a.k.a The Liu Family House is also built during the Qing Dynasty, in the 46th year of the Qianlong emperor (in 1781). This house features front and back halls, and it is the largest Hakka farmhouse in the Hsinchu area. The other Class III Monument is The Lobby of Xi He Tang, and it is a big three-section compounds that has one hall and six wings.
