The Temple of Moon

The Temple of Moon is located in Fuchengmen in western urban Beijing.
The origin of the name “the Temple of Moon” is due to the particular architectural design that the moonlight can radiate inside the cave at night. There is a throne carved out of rock in the centre of the cave and there are steps beside the throne to access to the deeper part of the cave.
