The Great Wall is a scenic spot that tourists cannot miss in Beijing. The magnificent structure is a rare military defense project in history. Among all parts of the Great Wall, Badaling is most famous and the earliest part to be opened, and it is also the best-preserved. Badaling, located at Yangquing County, is a mountain pass whose highest point is 1015meters. Its total length is 3741 meters. Its average height is 8 meters, but some can reach 15 meters. Its foundation is 6.5 meters wide in average, which allows five horses or ten people to proceed abreast at the same time.
