About Taipei Mass Rapid Transportation (Taipei MRT)

With a rapid growth in population and vehicles causing various traffic issues in great Taipei area, the developments of the Taipei MRT are to solute long-existing traffic problems and revitalize proper functioning of the capital city. The Taipei MRT features nine lines including Bannan, Danshui, Muzha, Neihu, Nangang, Tucheng, Xiaonanmen, Xindian, and Zhonghe Lines. These metro lines have a total of 82 stations, including the two main transfer stations: Taipei Main Station and Zhongxiao Fuxing Station. The Taipei MRT together with other public transportations is to provide all residents and visitors with a comprehensive and convenient Taipei.

Student EasyCard	20% discount for students, police & military personal Available at all Taipei MRT station & convenience stores with EasyCard logo on presentation of valid student, police or military ID TWD 6 discount will be given to passengers using Student EasyCard when transferring from metro to bus or vice versa within one hour
