Luodong Forestry Culture Garden is located in Luodong, Yilan. Before retiring from the timber industry, this was one of the three major timber industrial sites in Taiwan. Now becoming the garden of Luodong, it preserves decades of historical and cultural meanings. The Japanese architectural dorms and storage pool are rare scenery now in Taiwan. Old facilities are now used as exhibition rooms and education centers. With hiking routes around the lake, forest, and natural habitat, the whole park is a great city getaway.

Luodong Forestry Culture Garden is divided into sections. Artifact exhibition hall, bamboo railway station, storage pool, primitive habitat, and art district are all remodeled to present historical information. The living environment, production equipments, timber process of the past are all preserved for education purpose. The timber was transported by the railway inside the park, which retired along with the industry is now furnished into modern café. This is a great chance to experience the collision of the past and present.

The man made storage pool in the past is now a huge lake; it has become a part of the natural environment. There are two hiking routes along the lake and through the park. Many people choose to spend a casual afternoon here with the whole family. The Luodong Railway Station is near the park, where you can actually see trains going by in close range.
