Yuejiang Tower is a 50 meter high traditional Chinese tower as a pagoda; it located between Rehu Road and Jianning Road. The tower sits on Lion Hill near the banks of Yangzi River in the northwest of Nanjing. Here is one of the best places to enjoy the great river view in Nanjing. Yuejiang Tower is built in the style of Ming Dynasty in 2001 and it is usually mentioned by the founder of the Ming Emperor in a poem. Yuejiang means viewing the river in Chinese. Because the Ming Emperor asked officials write Yuejiang Tower peregrinations, the tower is well-known in Chinese history for over 600 years. There are two south-facing entrances in the tower on Jianning Road. The tower has an elevator and you can have a scenic walk to the top of the hill from the entrance on the east. After entering Yuejiang Tower, you will see a super huge multi-storey tile mural inside the 50 meter tower. It displays related the Ming Dynasty and Zheng He's sea voyages stories. The highest balconies of Yuejiang Tower offer a breath-taking view over the broad Yangzi River. The gorgeous view will make tourists have an unforgettable memory.
