Grand Opening of Taipei City New Children's Amusement Park

It was the first amusement park managed by the government. After relocation, The Taipei City New Children’s Amusement Park is open to the public. The rides and tickets are charged via easy card system, the same card used for the MRT. With 13 outdoor facilities, indoor playground, the largest sandpit in Taiwan, holiday performances, and free shuttle bus from MRT station, this is the new hottest family trip location in town.

Taipei City New Children’s Amusement Park was open to the public on December 16th. Over 5 hectares open grounds, it is organized with outdoor amusement facilities, indoor playgrounds, Children Theater, themed shops, food court, and parking area. The rides and entrance tickets are charged separately with easy card. It is located near other attractions like Shuangxi Riverside Park, Yuanshan Shell Mound Site, Taipei Astronomical Museum, and National Taiwan Science Education Center. Family trip in Taipei can be very productive and fun at the same time.

Taipei City New Children’s Amusement Park is managed by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation. The entrance tickets and the rides are charged separately using the easy card. With the balance deposit in the card, paying for rides and food are all simple and convenient. The entrance fee is TWD 30, group and age discount is available. The rides are around TWD 20 to 30, choose your favorite ride according to your plan of the day, only to pay the rides you went on, it is very convenient to adjust your itinerary in the park.

The amusement park offers pay rides, free sections and coin slot machines. There are 13 pay rides, individually charged per ride. Besides the original 7 rides relocated from the old park, a several new rides are set up like the crazy bus, roller coaster, drop tower, swing ship, rotating airplanes and spinning teacups. The rides each have its own lowest height restrictions. It is suggested to have your youngsters height measured in the park before going in.

Aside from the outdoor facilities, the park offers the largest sand pit in Taiwan, large-scaled slides, ball pool and many different free in-door facilities. 120 coin slot machines spread across the park and the theater provides free entertainment performances on weekends and national holidays. There are also paid performances available with a variety of themed topics. The Taipei City New Children’s Amusement Park is a fine new location for some family quality times.
