The first International Rice Art Festival starts from March 28th to May 10th in Pingtung. Pingtung government collaborates with LINE Company to grow a hectare of LINE Friends rice paddy. You will see all the popular LINE characters Brown, Sally, Cony, James and Moon laid on the rice paddy.

Pingtung government received the technical support and official authorization by planting four different color of rice purple, white, gold, and green in the paddy for the LINE characters. And, for the visitors to obtain a clear view of the rice art, the organizer set up a height of 9 meters platform, which allows the maximum of 100 people to go up for 10 minutes. The platform opens 8 hours on weekday and 9 hours on weekend. The staff will hand out the number slip on the spot.

This Pingtung art festival of colorful paddy is located at a rice field in Nanzhou Township which is nearby Tzu Hui Institute of Technology, welcoming LINE-lovers to experience the charm of the art, agriculture and scenery. What’s more, the organizer also set up the rice maze, waterway culture experience area, and agricultural products exhibition center for the visitors to get a grasp of healthy grains diet.
