March this year is a little different in Southern Taiwan, a little gold. The Golden Trumpet-trees are blooming heavily.

Some things in life may be ignored or not noticed, like the Golden Trumpet-tree along the streets or in the parks. But this year, the Golden Trumpet-trees have united, instead of blooming randomly one at a time, they colored the mid and southern Taiwan in gold.
Golden Trumpet-tree, a common street tree in the cities of mid and southern Taiwan, are blooming at its peak at the moment. Not just the streets but the parks too, with the golden flowers swaying against the wind, forming beautiful scenery like raining gold coins. Some said due to the drought this year, the Golden Trumpet-tree is situated in a harsh environment, thus the early and heavy blooming. Though other holds different opinions on why the heavy blooming, the unusual blooming is a spectacular view. Don’t miss this chance to admire the beauty near our everyday life at its best.

The climate is quite stable in the Southern Taiwan. The golden Trumpet-trees are putting on their best show. But he blossoming lasts only around 2 to 3 weeks. It is estimated to end around end of March. So it’s now or next year, grab your camera and admire the little things around you.
