2015 Fulong International Sand Sculpture Festival started at Fulong Beach, New Taipei City from May 2nd to July 12th. The Fulong International Sand Sculpture Festival was held for the first time in 2008 to promote sand sculpture art in Taiwan and yield a stage for sand sculptors. Now it has become a major tourist attraction. Every year has attracts professional and amateur sand sculptors from different parts of the world gather for these 2 months long event, exhibition and competition. As the theme for this year “Toy Nations” has invited a total of 27 sand sculptors from 13 countries by making the creative sand sculpture to bring back the childhood memories. Visitors can expect to find elements like chess, toy soldiers, Monopoly, Barbie, remote control cars, glove puppet, hopscotch, teddy bears, robots, shuttlecocks, building blocks, magic cubes and even the zodiac “sheep mascot” in the sculptures on display.

Admission:
1. Adult: TWD 100
2. Group: TWD 90 per person for any group of 20 members or more.
3. Priority: TWD 80 for students or those who are 65 years old or more.
4. Children: For Children 6 years of age or younger, the fare is TWD 10 (as visitor insurance).
5. Free Admission is given to physically/mentally challenged visitors, including one accompanying individual. Please present an ID to enjoy this offer.

By train:
Take a train to Fulong. From the train station, follow road signs to reach the festival site.

By bus:
Take 1811 Kuo-Kuang Bus (Taipei – Luodong), 791 Keelung Bus (Guo Jian Xing Cheng – Fulong), or 856 Taiwan Tourist Shuttle (Ruifang – Fulong). Get off at Fulong. Visit the festival site by walk following signs along the roads.
