Lonely Planet is the largest travel guide book publisher in the world. The Lonely Planet books were one of the first series of travel books aimed at backpackers and other low-cost travelers. Providing travel information around the world with facts and budgets, it’s a great travel handbook for foreign traveling. Taiwan was selected as one of the best value destination for 2015 for the great all-around value, cheaper comparing to other surrounding countries, easy transportation, low cost admittance to attractions, and of course, the food.

Taiwan offers natural sceneries, modern urban cities, exquisite cultural sites, seasonal activities, and eastern local cuisines, all at the fairest cost in the Asia region. Taiwan is considered the ideal start up city of Asia traveling, for the lower cost, less language barrier, general safety, transportation, and on top everything, the traditional Chinese culture. For cultural experience, shrines, temples, and old streets could be scheduled during the day time, and what Taiwan does best, the night markets in the evening. Seasonal activities like the Sky Lantern and hot springs are also must visits while in Taiwan. And the above travels could be done with convenient transportation by High Speed Railways, Railways, MRT and city bus with reasonable fair. It is a backpacker friendly and safe country.

Taipei 101, Yangmingshan National Park, Beitou Hot Spring, and National Palace Museum are all situated in Taipei City with easy transit by the MRT. Jiufen with exotic buildings and streets in New Taipei City is what most foreign travelers finds interesting. Cingjing in Nantou, many travelers finds the view very appealing. Alishan in Chiayi has always been the on the top attraction list. Sun Moon Lake in Nantou is on the list as well. Kending down in Pintung, with tropical beaches is the most popular attraction in southern Taiwan even for the locals. These are just a few locations grabbed of the chart, there’s so much more Taiwan offers.
