Alishan is a popular getaway during the summer. The Alishan Train ride is among the must do list during your visit. The Taiwan Railways Administration has begun the first summer train tour starting this July. Every Wednesday from July to September, the Alishan Train will take you on a journey visiting the attractions along the railroad. The train will stop at attractions for visitors to get off to enjoy the scenes and take them to the next attraction one by one. Attractions like Hinoki Village, Chiayi Garage Park and Dulishan Trails. It’s a railroad vacation with natural scenery and cultural visit by the forest railway.

From July 1st to September 30th, 2015, every Wednesday for 14 weeks, Alishan Railway offers a one day railroad trip tour. There will be professional guide explaining the along the way. It is a treat for the whole family, easy Alishan, easy vacation.
A limited 14 tours are scheduled; the reservation begins on June 3rd. Each tour will hold up to 100 guests, TWD 500 each. The fee includes train ticket, Zhuci Lunch Buffet, and guide tours. Children under the age of 6 not taking individual seat are free of charge but there will be an additional payment for the lunch.

The Alishan Forest Railway rising from 30 meters to 2216 meters, a total of three and a half hour ride, it’s a moving ecological museum crossing four environment zones. The unique spiral and Z-way ascending of Alishan Forest Railway is one of a kind, it’s a riding experience no other mountain railway can provide. It’s the best and unique way to explore Alishan, the railroad takes you to the natural beauty, cultural attractions and historical sites.
