: 2014 Taiwan Cycling Festival
Location: Sun Moon Lake, Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung,Changhua, Hualien
Date:  November 8th (Saturday) to November 16th (Sunday), 2014

Starting from the year 2010, the Taiwan tourism Bureau, the Taiwan Cyclist Federation, the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters' Association, and the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration began hosting a series of cycling events around Taiwan. Though most major events are held at the famous scenic area Sun Moon Lake, but Hualien, Yilan, Taipei, Taichung and many other cities also participate in the great event during the festival. This year from November 8th to November 16th, the 2014 Taiwan Cycling Festival is taking action around Taiwan once again.

The 2014 Taiwan Cycling Festival holds a series of events. On November 8th cycling groups will depart from different locations around Taiwan at the same time and cycle around the island. Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Changhua, Kaohsiung and Hualien, you can be anywhere in Taiwan to participate. If you’re looking for a leisure activity, on November 9th the Sun Moon Lake Come! Bikeday is an event for the whole family to enjoy. The Classical Bike Day, Ride Around Sun Moon Lake, Stamp Exihibition, Tribal Challenge are available under your choice. The competitive Taiwan KOM Challenge on November 15th, the participants will climb from altitude zero at Qixingtan in Hualien to 3,275 meters at Hehuan Mountain; the route includes some amazing scenery, making this a unique extreme cycling challenge and fun. The festival is scheduled with events for everyone, whether you’re looking for a competition or a casual ride with your friends.

Biking is actually a great way to discover secret attractions and explore the local culture. The eco-friendly transportation has attracted foreign cyclist to join the ride.
