The annual significant event of the Taiwan aboriginal tribes is the harvest festival, which is the major celebration for the abundant crop harvest and gratitude to ancestors’ blessing over the past year. The festival is often held from July to the beginning of September, joined by many Taiwan aboriginal tribes from different area of Hualien.

2013 Hualien United Harvest Festival is the three day event that will kick-off on 7/12. There will be a fair on Zhongzheng Road start at 17:00 – 21:00 on 7/12, and the ceremonies and celebrations are held at 17:30 – 21:30 on 7/13 & 7/14. The activity content contains the singing, dancing, praying and competition that everyone could participate. The united festival is usually held by different tribes together, which may also let the tribes to learn and communicate from each other.

The festival is regarded as an important cultural event in eastern Taiwan, and visitors are invited to participate in the exotic and colorful activities for an unforgettable Taiwan travel.
