2013 Chiayi Dragon Boat Festival is to be held on 2013/6/08 at Budai Port & 2013/6/12 at Donogshih Fish Por. Come to experience Taiwanese tradition event and enjoy seafood gourmet.

Dragon Boat Festival is an ancient tradition turned into a modern festival and competitive sport. The festival has become one of the city’s most popular festivals in Taiwan, and each city will host their own celebration on the fifth day of May in lunar calendar. Chiayi County will hold the dragon boat race at Budai Town and Donshih Town. There are 64 teams register for the race in Budai and 41 teams in Donshih. The public is welcome to witness this exciting race. Moreover, Budai and Donshih are also the ports that renowned for fresh seafood. After the race, you may savor the delicious seafood cuisine and give it a try of the typical Taiwan Dragon Boat Festival delicacy – rice dumpling (Zhongzih) for a nice sample of Taiwanese culture.

By HSR:
Take HSR to Chiayi HSR Station -> Transfer to Bus No. 7327 or 7209 directly to Budai Port
By Train:
1. Take train to Xinying Train Station -> Transfer to Bus No. 7410 -> Get off at Budai Port stop
2. Take train to Chiayi Train Station -> Transfer to Bus No. 7327 or 7209 -> Get off at Budai Port stop
3. Take train to Shuishang Train Station -> Transfer to Bus No. 7327 -> Get off at Budai Port stop
By Coach from Taipei:
Take U-bus at Taipei Main Station directly to Budai ->take a 10-minute walk to the venue of the dragon boat race

Take HSR to Chiayi HSR Station -> Transfer to Taiwan Tourist Shuttle No. 7329 or 7702 directly to Dongshih Fish Port
By Train:
1. Take train to Xinying Train Station -> Transfer to Bus No. 7205 or 7327 to Puzi -> Then transfer to Bus No. 7233 to at Donshih Fish Port stop
By Coach from Taipei:
Take U-bus at Taipei Main Station directly to Dongshih ->take a 15-minute walk to the venue of the dragon boat race
